JOHANNESBURG – For over five months now, Eskom has been providing uninterrupted power supply.
But some municipalities are still implementing load-reduction, leaving some communities in the dark.
These are some of the issues that will be discussed at the Municipal Just Energy Transition Conference.

President Cyril Ramaphosa will address the gathering of mayors and municipal managers.
The conference will look at how to implement the Just Energy Transition at municipal level.It will also explore scenarios for municipalities of differing sizes and capabilities.
The majority of the over 200 municipalities are struggling to pay their Eskom debt.
It comes as the utility asks the regulator for a 36 percent increase for 2025.
